Samara and Lilah look at their giant pumpkin last summer!

Gardening again...

Been working hard to get the garden in.  The weather has been so weird this year it's been hard to get anything done.  First it was too cold and then its hot...but Julio finally turned the compost and we got three wheelbarrels full of rich dark compost.  I have everything planted but some zucchini and the watermelon.  My herbs are beautiful and I can smell the honeysuckle everytime I go in the backyard.  It's such a wonderful aroma.

Shelves I am painting that i found on the curb......They are going into my studio when they are done.   I layered them wth old sewing patterns and then painted over the patterns leaving some text exposed.  I then added more layers of paper and paint.  I think they are turning out to be pretty cool.

This is one of my photos of rust, and wood and paint.  I love taking photos of things that have deteriorated and then turning them into paintings.  Rusty metal and old facades of buildings are favorites.

Just Start. That's the beginning of anything.

Ok I'm back....nothing too exciting but Just wanted to get into the habit of writing on this everyday.  The weather is finally normal after snowing in the first week of May.  My assignment this week:  Post photo of snow on my beautiful pink dogwood tree flowers.
Send Pasquale's paintings.  Create another page of artwork for my sample book:  Paint something.  Anything I want.  Work on secret doll project with Lilah.  Walk.  Meditate.  Ok that's a start.

New things on horizon.

Another new year and the reluctant artist is trying again to write her blog.  Meeting my grand daughter samara and my daughter for books and coffee before heading home.  I am working on a proposal to teach mixed media classes for my friend Kelly at Evolve studio.  I am excited about being in a create environment and around creative people.  Keep posted for workshop information!  I promise!
